Tonight was one of those nights that will stick with me for a long time. I had the privilege to attend the Freedom a la Cart volunteer appreciation night. This organization provides box lunches and catering services through a workforce development program and employment to survivors of human trafficking. So honored to be with Judge Herbert, his amazing staff from CATCH and all of the mentors and volunteers that give their heart and soul to helping survivors of human trafficking. My heart is full!

From Saturday serving lunch to families at the YWCA family center with the Women Lawyers of Franklin County to Sunday with my family serving lunch to men and women at Faith Mission, it’s small acts like these that are necessary to help repair the world one meal, one person at a time. So grateful to be able to share this with my girls.
So moved by the sounds of Illuminati, the ensemble of the Columbus Gay Men’s Chorus. Beautiful Pride Shabbat service praying for equality and social justice. Just what this family needed to end this busy week!
Absolutely amazing day with my girls at LifeCare Alliance! We were able to tour the facilities and the best was delivering the meals to people in the community. We are already planning another day!
Amazing evening celebrating Dreams on Horseback! An organization that provides horse-assisted learning programs for those with developmental disabilities, at-risk youth, vocational training, Alzheimer’s therapy, and their newest program added is working with veterans helping them reintegrate into civilian life.
Wonderful morning despite the cold weather at the Lady Tutu 5K! Thank you to my amazing team who came out to share their support for me and Make-A-Wish Foundation! Loved seeing all the tutus!
Surrounded today by counselors, social workers, law enforcement, families, attorneys, elected officials and so many others all coming together to learn more about the opiate crisis and what we can do in this community to collaborate on treatment, prevention and harm reduction. A special thank you to Amy O’Grady for inviting me to be on the judicial panel where I was able to share about my experience working in the speciality dockets specifically the drug court and how it has helped me on the Bench.
Cold temperatures did not stop Team Thomas at the Dublin Irish Parade! Thank you to my amazing group of volunteers! Great day!
